You Can’t Have That!

You Can’t Have That!

As a child we are all familiar with the phrase you can’t have that! Actually in a lot of cases this is true. How can you have more of something or something new if you are not grateful for what you have? Maybe you want a new car, but you aren’t grateful for your current car. You are always worried it will break down and cost you money. You find out you are usually right. Can’t afford a new car? Here is why.

When you are not grateful for what you have, you have a thought pattern of scarcity. When you always think about loss or complaining, you get less things and more to complain about. When you are grateful and positive, you have a thought pattern of abundance. Therefore positive people seem to always get what they want out of life. Negative people just seem to get more misery.

It is scientifically proven that we attract what we think about most. If you think bad things and worry constantly, you will have bad situations arise everyday in your life, you attract it. If you think positive thoughts and are grateful for everything thing you have, you will receive more of an abundance of what you want out of life. I wrote a blog last year about how to delete negative thoughts and turn your life around.

I always end my day with reflection in my being grateful in my daily prayers personally. But even an atheist can reflect and be grateful daily, because it is not a religious ritual to be grateful. See when you have a grateful spirit you attract more things to be grateful about into your life. By focusing on things you are grateful for, you will find you will have more positive thoughts. If you dwell on the bad things that happened daily, you will tend to stay negative which attracts more negative in your life. I find the entitled crowd seems to love to blame certain groups, corporations, government, republicans, democrats, parents, bosses, etc. When in reality they are making themselves a victim. The dictionary defines a victim as one who suffers from a destructive or injurious action or who is deceived or cheated as by one’s own emotions or ignorance. Doesn’t sound like a very positive experience to me? If you are grateful, happy and positive, you will find very soon you don’t like attending “pity parties” because they are not very fun. Positive things will come your way if you persist to have positive thoughts and have faith.

You can’t have that! Is true only if you believe it is true. I don’t and I am seldom disappointed. Take the first step today by eliminating the word problem from your vocabulary. Change it to issue and realize within any issue is an opportunity. Never say or think the word problem again.
